Wow, been a while!
Busy busy busy:)
Still, been reading a friends blog on Tumblr, and they post a song from time to time. Found one I REALLY liked and wanted to download it, but couldn't find it anywhere. In the end I installed FireFox, then the GreaseMonkey addon and finally the TumTaster script. This allows you to simply download a file by simply clicking on a button :)
Then copied to my media streamer, and now listening to it on my surround sound system.
Gotta love technology!!!

Forerunner 405
I have just bought the Garmin Forerunner 405 to track how far and indeed fast I am running. First impressions - FANTASTIC!!!
Not only does it do exactly what it says on the tin, but you can also upload all your data to view your training history, and even share it on the net.

The National Gallery
If you're ever in London and get the chance to take a look around The National Gallery, please do so. It is a wonderful museum, showcasing some of the very best art work throughout several periods in history.
Plus if it is nice weather, you can hand around the fountains outside with an Ice Cream :)

Made it..
Maybe next time I'll just watch?
I've done a 15 mile run in my training for this, and although it took me longer than I would have ideally liked, it wasn't that bad. Today though, at the 8 miles mark, I just wanted to go home :(
Couldn't believe how heavy my thighs felt, never had that feeling before, calves yes, but not the thighs. Anyway, just walked a bit and ended up jogging rather than running. Apart from the last little sprint for the line of course!
Got round in a time of 2:11:45. I expected 2:10, and was aiming for 2:00, so whilst I was a little disappointed, I wasn't that far away from my 'guess'.
So now there is just training for next years event, and any other (shorter - probably 10km) races in between. There were times during the race where I thought I'd never want to run again, but they're gone now, and my blisters will heal. So onwards and upwards, and hopefully I can beat 2:00 next time...
